- Two Zilog 8530 serial chips, which provide one general-purpose
serial port, as well as the keyboard and mouse ports.
- One CS4231 audio device
- One LSI64854 parallel port
- TurboGX, Creator or Creator3D graphics adapters
NetBSD/sparc64 also supports other Sbus devices on Ultra 2 family
systems, as described on the Sbus
bus hardware support page.
CPU-specific support for the Ultra 5/10 family of systems was
written by Matthew Green with a bunch of help from Eduardo Horvath.
Supported Hardware
The Ultra 5/10 family is a low-end low-cost PCI-based single processor
workstation from Sun Microsystems, Inc.
It includes the following models:
Ultra 5/10 family systems include the following hardware:
- UltraSPARC IIi CPU
- Built-in PCI HME network interface
- Built-in PCI-IDE controller
- Two PC-AT style `com' ports for the mouse and keyboard
- Floppy drive controller
- Siemens SAB82532 dual-channel serial ports for ttya and ttyb
- One CS4231 audio device
- One PC-AT style parallel port
- ATI Mach64 or Sun `ffb' frame buffer
Many of the
machine-independent PCI drivers have never been tested, but you can look
at the list of them on the PCI
bus hardware support page. They either work out of the box or have
easy to fix endianess bugs. If you test a card and it is not working,
please file a PR.
Known Bugs for the Ultra 5/10 port
- The floppy drive is not yet supported.
Supported Hardware
The Ultra 30/60 family is a PCI-based (up to) dual processor
workstation from Sun Microsystems, Inc.
It includes the following models:
Ultra 30/60 family systems include the following hardware:
- One or two UltraSPARC IIi CPU
- Built-in PCI HME network interface
- Built-in
dual Symbios 53c876 Ultra-Wide SCSI controller
- Two PC-AT style `com' ports for the mouse and keyboard
- Floppy drive controller
- Siemens SAB82532 dual-channel serial ports for ttya and ttyb
- One CS4231 audio device
- One PC-AT style parallel port
- Creator3D (or other UPA) graphics adapters
Many of the
machine-independent PCI drivers have never been tested, but you can look
at the list of them on the PCI
bus hardware support page. They either work out of the box or have
easy to fix endianess bugs. If you test a card and it is not working,

Known Bugs for the Ultra 30/60 port
- The floppy drive is not yet supported.
CPU-specific support for the Sun Blade 100 systems was
